Hey Old Man,
As I sit here reflecting on the love we share, I can’t help but think of how much we’ve grown together. Our relationship has shifted and deepened in ways I never imagined, and with each passing day, I feel more connected to you, not just as my father, but as the person who’s shaped so much of who I am.
My last trip to Michigan was a reminder of our bond. The way you greeted me with open arms, offering your warmth through hugs, and how I could just lay in your bed, feeling safe and loved, fills me with gratitude. You’ve always been there for me, but now, I’m able to give back to you in ways I never thought possible. It’s been beautiful to see us talk more, to share in each other’s lives, and to realize that I can truly support you—whether it’s through words, actions, or just my presence.
You’ve always been my role model, but as I’m becoming more financially stable and able to help in ways that matter, I’m seeing the depth of your strength in new ways. You’ve worked tirelessly to provide, not just for me but for those you love, and now I get to return that in my own small way. I’m proud of the growth we’ve both experienced.
When I think back on everything we’ve been through, I remember the man who carried so much and faced life’s challenges head-on. You taught me the value of hard work, humor, and never backing down. You’ve always been my provider and protector, and as I’ve matured, I’ve realized just how much strength it takes to keep going, to push through the pain, and still make sure the ones you love feel safe.
Dad, you’ve been through so much—physically, emotionally, and spiritually—but you’ve always remained strong, even when it felt like the world was pressing down on you. The fact that you’re here today, that we’re still talking, laughing, and sharing this journey together, fills my heart with love.
I want you to know how proud I am of you. I admire your resilience and your ability to keep showing up for those who need you. You’ve been a silent hero in my life, and now, as I get older, I’m learning to appreciate you not just as my dad, but as the incredible human you are.
I know that my success brings you joy, but I want so much more for you. I want you to feel the love and peace you’ve always given me, and I’m working toward making that happen. Together, we’ll create a future that’s full of the joy and fulfillment you deserve.
Happy 63rd Birthday, Dad! Thank you for being my rock, my inspiration, and the man who shaped me into who I am today. I love you more than words can express, and I’ll always be here, cheering you on, just as you’ve cheered me on.
Love,
Zari
