Love, Loss, and Letting Go

You arrived like a whisper, soft yet strong,
A presence I never knew I needed for long.
In your arms, I found something rare,
A love unfiltered, a love laid bare.
You showed me I was worthy of more,

Of kindness, of care, of love that poured.
You gave without asking, you saw without doubt,
But love is never just ease—it’s storms and droughts.
We were two souls, tender but torn,
Holding each other, yet both still worn.
Bleeding on wounds we never inflicted,
Fighting battles that left us conflicted.
And now, I sit in the quiet of space,
Tracing the echoes of your embrace.
I miss your voice, your touch, your breath,
But love, real love, should not feel like death.
So I let you go with a prayer and a sigh,
Trusting that time will bring clearer skies.
For whether you return, or fade from view,
The love meant for me will always be true.
